Better Baby Care

Vision
Pennsylvania Better Baby Care Campaign will work to improve the overall well-being of infants and toddlers while supporting their families.

Mission
The Pennsylvania Better Baby Care Coalition is a statewide voice to improve the quality of Pennsylvania’s infant and toddler care.

Initial Focus:
To improve the quality of regulated and unregulated child day care services for infants and toddlers.

Principles to drive future policy recommendations

  • Parents and families should be supported in caring for their infants and toddlers
  • Infant and toddler care should encourage and support the growth and development of the whole child.
  • Infant and toddler care should be family-centered and encourage parental choice of settings
  • Every infant and toddler deserves high-quality care based on current theory and practice in a caring nurturing environment.
  • High-quality infant and toddler care should be encouraged and supported in the child’s home and out-of-home settings.
