Local preschool education advocates on Tuesday will urge candidates running for state and national office in 2018 to support high quality preschool education.
The Pre-K for PA Campaign, Erie Insurance Executive Vice President Dionne Wallace Oakley, and Janel Bonsell, chairwoman of the United Way of Erie County Board of Directors, will hold a press conference Tuesday morning to share results of a recent report by the Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children underlining the importance of quality preschool education in helping students succeed and boosting the state’s economic competitiveness.
The event will be held at the United Way of Erie County.
