New Initiative
PA Ready@21

| Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children is proud to unveil a new initiative called "PA Ready@21." Beginning this year and continuing, PPC will be focused on youth 12-21 helping to ensure smooth transitions for them as they move from middle school to high school, high school to postsecondary education, or high school to career and beyond. This organization believes that all young people in the Commonwealth should have the opportunity to achieve academic success today in order to build productive and successful lives for themselves and their families of tomorrow. |
 |
To be successful in a 21st century economy, young people need to graduate from high school prepared to transition without roadblocks to postsecondary education or the workforce. The demands of a global marketplace require students to pursue postsecondary education or training and we must guarantee that a high school education adequately prepares a student for the rigors of postsecondary education, employment and life.
We've made great strides in Pennsylvania in the areas of early care and education and health coverage for children. But we need to expand upon the primary and secondary education investments the Commonwealth is making and complete a full continuum of investments and supports into middle school, high school and beyond so that ALL kids transition successfully to adulthood.
This new section of our web site includes links to reports we've published about our youth agenda and youth issues such as graduation rates and employment. We hope you will visit this page often to read new publications or check in on new initiatives in the works.
