Carolyn Myers serves as Communications Director for PPC, where she leads the organization’s strategic communications, media relations, public affairs messaging and audience engagement efforts. She works closely with advocates, partners and the media to advance PPC’s mission of improving outcomes for Pennsylvania’s children and families.

With nearly two decades of experience in communications, public affairs and advocacy, Carolyn has built a career helping organizations communicate complex policy issues in ways that inform, engage, inspire action and drive positive change.

Her expertise includes media relations, public affairs, digital communications, message development, advocacy campaigns, stakeholder engagement and crisis communications.

Prior to joining PPC in 2017, Carolyn managed communications initiatives for a public affairs and communications firm, where she developed and executed media and social media strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients and advocacy campaigns. She also served as a spokesperson for the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, overseeing communications efforts across criminal, civil and consumer protection matters. Earlier in her career, she led marketing and editorial initiatives for the Pennsylvania State Education Association and worked in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, supporting communications on key public policy issues affecting children, education, health care and families.

Carolyn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Edinboro University. She lives in the Harrisburg area with her partner, two sons, and their dog.
