Research lays out potential long term impact of SNAP, Medicaid cuts

One Pennsylvania Organization put together data showing the impacts of H.R 1, which will make cuts to Medicaid and SNAP funding starting in October, on local communities.

Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children is a nonprofit that advocates for the youth in Keystone State, and it’s the youth that leaders with the organization say will be impacted heavily by changes made in H.R. 1, also known as the Big Beautiful Bill. Ahead of the changes taking place this fall, PPC released data showing the potential 8-year impact.

“We wanted to create a more localized view so not only the public but legislators and legislative staff could see what’s happening in their backyards,” said Becky Ludwick, vice president of public policy for PPC.
